5 habits to boost your health

Do you want to be healthier, lose weight, or have a healthier life? Then this short article is for you. No secret, no miracle product, no diet and no discount code. Just 5 habits to incorporate into your daily routine.

Habit #1: We cut calories

Each influencer has their opinion depending on the slimming program for sale, but the reality is that the calories ingested count. So the first thing to do if your goal is to lose weight or get fitter is to burn more calories than you take in. A concrete example to make this easy to understand: if you spend more than you earn, you lose money. So if you burn more calories than you take in, you lose weight.

You are not told to count every day what you eat until the end of your life. Tracking his diet for 10 days to get a good overall idea of his daily calorie count really helps.

Habit #2: We eat more protein

They contribute to the maintenance of muscle mass and normal bones (very important with age). They bring a satiety effect and stimulate the metabolism. In short, protein is your friend.

The recommendation: 1.5 grams per kilogram of body weight. For 60 kilos this represents 90 grams of protein, i.e.

  • 100 g of cooked lentils = 8 g of protein
  • 100 g of chicken breast = 22 g of chicken breast
  • one Humble+ smoothie = 17g plant-based protein.

Conclusion: it is easier to consume less than too much!

Habit #3: Don't be bored

Boredom is your enemy. When you're bored, your brain sends you signals to keep busy. Ghrelin, the hormone that controls hunger kicks in and you feel hungry. To avoid getting bored: go out, play sports, read...

A little trick when your brain sends you these signals is to brush your teeth. When your teeth are clean, you no longer want to dirty them and therefore eat. Try it, you'll thank me later.

Habit #4: We consume more collagen

Collagen is a protein that ensures the resistance, elasticity and regeneration of skin tissues, tendons and muscles. Our skin is 75% collagen, but after the age of 25 collagen synthesis decreases and after 45 our collagen levels may have dropped by 30%.

We are coming very soon with two products based on marine collagen.

Habit #5: You lead an active life by playing sports 3 times a week

Run, walk, swim, play a team sport. Improve your strength and endurance by lifting weights...the options are endless.

Exercising naturally burns calories. Above all, it allows you to put yourself in a dynamic of eating less so that the effort made is not in vain.

It's a good idea to try to incorporate a new sport at all times.

I hope this short article has you more.
