Why and since when do you consume collagen?
In June 2021, I partially ruptured my hamstring tendon during a jog where I was doing fast running / slow running. I've been feeling my body tired for a while, pulled the rope a little too much I guess.
The physio had told me 3 months of rest before starting rehabilitation for 1 additional month.
I told Romain from Humble+ about my injury, I was having smoothies at their corner after my workouts. He advised me to take collagen to help with my recovery, as this protein makes up 85% of tendon structure.
How often did you consume it?
I consumed 10 grams a day for 8 weeks in the form of a powder that I mixed with water.
What were the effects on your body?
The effects were real, I recovered from my injury in just 10 weeks combining leg rest and upper body muscle work.
I haven't felt any tenderness on my leg since.'
